Interested in talking about the gender pay gap? The 500 Women Scientists Santa Barbara Chapter is hosting their monthly discussion night on Monday, April 15, at 6pm at The Roof Top Bar & Bistro.

Join other women as they connect ​to discuss questions like:

  • What are the causes of the gender pay gap?
  • What are the disproportionate impacts of childrearing and elder care on women scientists?
  • What are different factors in determining career goals and career satisfaction for women scientists?
  • How does the "motherhood penalty" affect income over the career of females?
  • How do we become aware of and remedy the pay gap in our own careers? ​
