If you have a CalFresh Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, you may now use it for purchases at the Arbor. To find out more about how to sign up for CalFresh or to see other locations with food security resources, read more here.
OVERVIEW
The Arbor is proud to announce that they have started accepting CalFresh Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards. This change enables students and anyone else with a Calfresh EBT card to purchase cold foods and grocery items, including snacks, at the Arbor. The only restricted items are hot foods and non-food items such as school supplies.
CALFRESH
To apply for Calfresh, visit a Food Security and Calfresh Advocate at any of the following times or locations. If you are not eligible for CalFresh, these advocates can also help you to identify alternate food security and basic needs resources:
- El Centro: Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Miramar Pantry: Tuesdays 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- AS Food Bank: Wednesdays 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Thursdays 11:30 pm - 3:00 pm
- Office of Financial Aid: Mondays from 9:00 am - 11:30 am
- Isla Vista Food Co-op: Thursdays from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
- Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Office: Thursdays 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
- Student Health: Fridays 1:30pm - 4:00pm
