Translatina activist Isa Noyola is coming to UCSB and will speak at The Hub on February 7 from 8 to 10 p.m.

Noyola is one of the leading voices in the LGBT immigrant rights movement, serving as the Director of Programs for the Transgender Law Center and sitting on the advisory boards for TAJA Coalition, El/La Para Translatinas, and Familia: Trans, Queer Liberation Movement. She also is an organizer of the #Not1more campaign and has vigorously sought to end ICE detention for transgender women and other immigrant populations.

Noyola will be speaking about her work as well as the importance of ending the criminalization of transgender communities and communities of color, in order to foster a more visible and vibrant transgender community.
