The UCSB Faculty Association and University Council AFT will host a Day of Democratic Education at UCSB on Wednesday, January 18.

The Day of Democratic Education will be a series of panels and discussions at Corwin Pavilion and other locations on campus from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thus far, over 50 faculty and graduate students have committed to leading talks at this event in the form of dialogic panel discussions around themes highlighted by the recent election.

Currently, there are 20 different panels on the schedule, including "Identity Politics in American Democracy," "Immigration, Sanctuaries, & Democracy," and "Islamophobia & Democracy." However, talks are still being added to the schedule on a daily basis. The UCSB Faculty Association recommends checking the morning of January 18 for the final schedule.
