The cows are fattened, the peppers roasted, garlic and onion chopped, and beans soaked. The earth has made one more celestial revolution and the time is nigh for celebration. This can only mean one thing…

CHILI COOKOFF! Hosted by the EEMB Department
Friday, May 27, 5 p.m.
The Marine Biotech Patio (campus point)

Event Details
- Open to graduate students, faculty, and staff of any department
- 4 categories of competition (Meat, Vegetarian, Cornbread, and Best Presentation*)
- ​First and ​second place prizes to be awarded by the votes of all those who eat
- And of course an abundance of keg beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages

*Presentation includes team name, chili/cornbread name, artist statement, visuals, serving style, etc., so be creative!

Cookoff Details
To enter a chili or cornbread (and ​gain the right to eat and drink for free at the event!), fill out the following form:

Contestants, please ​note: Bring your chili already hot as you won't be able to plug pots in without shorting fuses!

Don't feel like cooking?
$5 - Bottomless Bowl
$5 - Bottomless Cup
$2 Glass of wine or beer (Bring ID for alcohol)
$1 Soda
(Please bring your own bowl, mug, and spoon if possible to reduce waste)

Can't make the event? Join ​EEMB every Friday for their regular Happy Hour at 4:30 p.m. in the Noble Courtyard.

I​f you can lend a crockpot to the competition, please respond to ​The organizers would appreciate it and will return it promptly and as clean if not cleaner than you gave it to them.
