UCSB’s Linguistics Department is looking for teaching assistants for several General Education courses available throughout academic year 2019-20. Interested students should send a copy of their cover letter, CV, and transcripts to René Marchington by August 30 for fullest consideration.

UCSB's Linguistics Department is looking for teaching assistants for several General Education courses available throughout academic year 2019-20. All TAships are for 50% time (20 hours/week) and include tuition and health insurance; campus-based fees must be covered by the student or their home department.

The Department has openings for Teaching Assistants in the following courses:

For Fall 2019

- LING 20: Language and Linguistics
- LING 50: Language and Power

For Spring 2020

- LING 180: Language, Race, and Ethnicity

For fullest consideration, please send the following application materials to René Marchington, Linguistics Graduate Program Advisor, by Friday, August 30; however, late applications may be considered, and positions are open until filled. All items must be in PDF format.

1. Cover letter stating which course(s) you are interested in teaching and your preparation for doing so.
2. A CV, including the contact information for your current advisor and one other reference
3. Unofficial graduate and/or undergraduate transcript(s) with linguistics and/or linguistics-related coursework
