From Sept. 3-Oct. 21, The Science Coalition (TSC) will host the first "Fund it Forward
student video challenge
. This effort provides students at TSC member institutions with the opportunity to develop short 60-90 second videos about the importance of science research - and will include prizes for the top three graduate and undergraduate winners (as well as a people's choice award).

Videos should address:

  1. Who you are, and the institution/university at which you study/work.

  2. Insert your example of interesting research and how it benefits the world now and/or could benefit the world in the future. The example can be from your own research or others' research.

  3. Explain why continued federal support for fundamental research is critical to our nation's future. In other words, why should Congress "Fund it Forward"?

  4. (Optional, but strongly recommended) Acknowledge the funding sponsor(s) for the research. Ask your PI or professor if you don't know! See the FAQ section for more information.

The deadline for submission is October 21, 2019 at 11:59pm PST.

TSC is a nonprofit, nonpartisan group of more than 50 research universities (including the University of California) dedicated to sustaining the federal government's investment in fundamental scientific research as a means to stimulate the economy, spur innovation, and drive American competitiveness.
