Summer is here and that means the Graduate Simulation Seminar Series (GS^3) is back! The Center for Scientific Computing is offering a 10-12 week set of seminars over the summer, during which researchers from different departments at UCSB present on their simulation-based research or lead workshops on cutting-edge computational techniques. The seminars will be held Wednesdays from 2 PM - 3 PM in ESB 2001 this summer, starting Wednesday, July 11 and going through September.

GS^3 is also looking for speakers for the series! If you would like to give a talk over the summer, please sign up here as soon as possible. You can give 30 minute or 1 hour talks to a friendly audience of your peers, providing a great opportunity to practice presenting your research and network with peers; also, there will be prizes for the best presentations! You can also use the form to sign up to receive emails sharing abstracts for upcoming talks and let you know about special events. If you are interested in helping organize GS^3 activities, you can also sign up to be on the advisory board.
If you have questions or want more information, contact Andrew at a_rowberg@umail.ucsb.edu. You can also check out the Graduate Simulation Seminar Series on Facebook.
