The USLS is a week-long Leadership Conference on social development for young leaders from all over the world. The purpose is to instill a sense of social responsibility as well as cultivate the attributes of selfless giving among our emerging world leaders.

OVERVIEW

Humanitarian Affairs Asia and the Royal Government of Thailand (Ministry of Education) will host the 9th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) 2018 at United Nations, Bangkok in Thailand from August 1nd to 7th, 2018. The theme of the Symposium is "Inspiring Confidence, Inspiring Change."

Approximately 1,100 emerging world leaders from the United Nations Member States are expected to participate in this event, which focuses on developing leaders to bring about social change.

The USLS is a week-long Leadership Conference on social development for young leaders from all over the world. The purpose is to instill a sense of social responsibility as well as cultivate the attributes of selfless giving among our emerging world leaders. Delegates will have the opportunity to expand their professional network and meet representatives from United Nations Agencies at the Symposium.

WORKSHOPS
The USLS will lead multiple workshop discussions at the USLS on SDGs of Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Clean Water & Sanitation, Reduced Inequalities and Sustainable Cities & Communities.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Former President of the UN Security Council, Professor Kishore Mahbubani will deliver the Keynote Address at the 9th USLS this year. Prof Mahbubani serves on various Boards and Councils of institutions around the world, including the Yale President's Council and World Economic Forum. Most recently, he was selected by Prospect Magazine as one of the top 50 world thinkers.
