You've already marked your calendar for this Wednesday and Thursday to attend one or both of our Grad Career Mixers - now how can you prepare to make sure you get the most out of these events? Here are some quick tips!
- Review employers and their job opportunity prior to the Mixers by logging into Handshake
- Dress to impress! Business-casual is appropriate.
- Bring your (polished) résumés.
- Introduce yourself and be prepared to give your "career pitch." Practice how you will share about your career interests, articulate your skills related to the company/jobs, and describe how your academic experiences and extracurricular involvement fit their needs.
- Ask the rep for their business card (bonus points for bringing and sharing yours with them too!). Don't forget to send a thank-you note promptly and add them on LinkedIn (if appropriate).
- Let your positive attitude show!
