UCSB's Research Mentorship Program (RMP) is seeking graduate students, postdocs, and researchers for a paid mentorship opportunity during summer 2018. This is a six-week summer program that engages qualified, high-achieving high school students from all over the world in interdisciplinary, hands-on, university-level research. Join the program as a mentor and help create an academically inspiring summer for our next generation of researchers.

Program dates: [6 weeks] June 25 - August 3 (Summer Session A)
NOTE: student research dates are June 27 - July 31

Mentor Stipend:
· $950 per project per student
· $60 per student in research supplies
· May submit up to 2 projects (up to 2 students per project for a compensation of up to $3800)
· Must have a hands-on component (i.e., experimental, field, numerical, qualitative and quantitative, etc.)

Graduate students may be employed up to 100 percent over the summer. RMP students are bright, eager and motivated. Additionally, they all receive extensive lab safety training and present their findings at a formal symposium at the end of the program.
