Virginia Tech is now accepting applications for its annual Future Faculty Development Program, an intensive two-day program in January 2018 for doctoral candidates and post-doctoral scholars traditionally underrepresented in their fields who are interested in entering academic careers in the next year. The deadline for applications to the Future Faculty Development Program is October 1, 2017.

In January of 2018, Virginia Tech plans to bring a cohort of approximately 15 to its main campus in Blacksburg, Virginia, for this all-expense paid workshop that includes interaction with host departments, workshops such as negotiating job offers and adjusting to life as a new faculty member, and plenty of opportunities to network with faculty in research areas of interest to our participants.
