Inaugural City of Hope Biomedical Research Graduate Symposium

The Irell and Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences is hosting the City of Hope’s first annual Graduate Student Symposium on Thursday, August 31, in Los Angeles. This one-day event is planned entirely by students and ​aims to promote professional development and foster communication between graduate students in the southern California area. In addition to networking, there will be a keynote speaker and career panel with scientists from academia and industry.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Roy Parker, a professor of chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder. He currently studies RNA dysregulation in disease.
