The University of California Humanities Research Institute is funding up to three humanities Ph.D. students to attend the Humanists@Work Graduate Career Workshop in San Jose, CA on April 30-May 1, 2017. Applications are due by March 31.

Attention all Humanities Ph.D. students! The University of California Humanities Research Institute (UCHRI) is funding up to three Ph.D. students from each UC campus to attend the Humanists@Work Graduate Career Workshop - Silicon Valley. This workshop will engage the synergistic possibilities at the intersection of new media, community engagement, education and public humanities and will include an evening of networking events on Sunday, April 30, and a daylong workshop on Monday, May 1, in San Jose, California.

Who Can Apply: Currently enrolled UC humanities and humanistic social sciences Ph.D. students.

Award: Reasonable roundtrip travel from your home to San Jose, lodging at Hotel De Anza, and all workshop meals.

Application Deadline: March 31, 2017 (11:59 p.m. PST). Submit your resume, statement of purpose, and contact information.

Humanists@Work (HumWork) is a three-year UCHRI initiative that addresses professionalization, community building, and careers outside/alongside the academy for PhD students in the humanities.
