Credit: Versatile PhDHumanities and Social Science PhDs can positively impact society by working in "think tanks," non-academic research organizations that influence public policy around an important issue or cluster of issues. Think tanks hire Ph.D.s to conduct and evaluate studies and help develop policy recommendations.

Versatile Ph.D. will host a free AMA-style panel discussion on Ph.D. Careers in Think Tanks from March 6-10. All panelists are Ph.D.s or ABD in humanities or social science disciplines and all are currently employed in think tanks, making a difference on a variety of issues.

  • Takes place in Humanities/Social Science forum on the Versatile Ph.D. site
  • Panelists introduce themselves on Monday, March 6
  • Q&A the rest of week through Friday, March 10
  • Asynchronous (participate anytime during the week)
