The landscape of academic publishing is changing quite rapidly, and it is a relatively new field of expertise for many librarians who advise and collaborate with researchers to best archive, access, and disseminate scholarly work. On Monday, November 14, Sherri L. Barnes - the UCSB Library's Scholarly Communication Program Coordinator - led a lunchtime brown bag info session where she presented an overview of academic publishing today and facilitated a discussion on the role of authors, universities, libraries, and societies. See below for a list of handouts, slides, and resources from the workshop.
