Are you a graduate student or a postdoc fluent in either English or Spanish? Are you interested in a fun, rewarding, and easy way to help junior-high students gain familiarity with science and understand its importance in education?

The Family Ultimate Science Exploration (FUSE) is hosting five events at local junior-high schools this fall starting October 11. At these evening events, you will have a chance to teach the students and their families about the science of making polymers, audio speakers, and how to control the direction of light. All three activities are hands-on and allow for a rich dialogue between families and UCSB scientists and engineers.

If you are interested in volunteering for FUSE this fall quarter, you are invited to a training session on Monday, October 3, from 6-8 p.m. in Elings Hall 1601. Pizza will be provided, so be sure to RSVP.

If you can not make it to the training but would like to volunteer, please email Wendy Ibsen to arrange an alternative training.
