Falling Walls Lab is a global event that provides a platform for students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and young professionals from various fields to present their path-breaking ideas and research in 3 minutes. Each year, Falling Walls Labs are held around the world-34 Labs took place in 28 countries in 2015-and the finalist from each Lab participates in the Lab Finale in Berlin.

As one of the founding members of the global event, A.T. Kearney organized the first Falling Walls Lab Bay Area last year at UC Berkeley with excellent participation from students and young professionals across the Bay Area and beyond. The event was judged by a distinguished panel which included, among others, Andy Bechtolsheim, co-founder of Sun Microsystems and Arista Networks; Stefan Schlueter, German Consul General for San Francisco; and Vishwa Chandra, head of Retail Accounts at Instacart.

The call for participation for this year's event is now open and can be found here. Submissions are due by July 15, and the event will be held on September 15. The location will be confirmed soon.

In addition, if you would like more information on the event you can visit the Falling Walls Lab website. For impressions from the Berlin finale, please see the highlights video from last year's final: https://vimeo.com/145251315
