Need some development? Check out the Spring 2016 Graduate Student Pedagogy Workshop series from Instructional Development.

The workshops are designed to help you develop new pedagogical strategies, address any challenges that you are facing in the classroom, and are appropriate for both new and experienced TAs. This quarter's topics include:

  • Jump-Starting Discussion: Increasing Student Involvement
  • Teaching Reading Comprehension
  • Becoming a Mentor
  • Creating Affirming and Inclusive Classroom Environments: Context and Strategies for Addressing Sexual and Gender Diversity

  • Help Your Students Help Themselves! Encouraging Positive Study Habits
  • Drafting your Teaching Philosophy Statement
  • Troubleshooting 101: What's Going on in your Class?
